Since the times that mankind started to understand about energy, wind has been a major player and a very powerful resource of energy. The first thing that comes to everyone’s mind is of course sailing boats that probably are the true first appearance of wind power in history. The concept of being able to rapidly move on water created a strong understanding that the same technique could have been applied to more terrestrial items, such as mills for example. This generated a fast series of events that led to today’s more sophisticated wind towers that can be spotted in many places and that generate tons of energy for our every day activities.
Another important element in wind power history is with no doubt the invention of the propeller and its applications. The propeller, like the sail, is the tool that allows capturing the wind and eventually turning it into energy, without propellers we could never fully take advantage of wind power like we are doing today. Many believe that wind power history is as important as the one of solar and water, because these three elements represent the strongest sources of energy, although oil turned to be to most widely used and commercialized.
Chances are that if you have a family dentist, s/he does an excellent job at keeping your teeth clean, administering fluoride treatments and other preventive treatments, and filling the occasional cavity. But is s/he qualified to do porcelain veneers?
The difference between someone who practices general dentistry and a cosmetic dentist is the same as that between a doctor who is a General Practitioner and a skilled plastic surgeon. While both have a solid medical background, the latter is a dental specialist who has done a significant amount of post-graduate work and completed extensive training; in addition, cosmetic surgery and dentistry are as much art as they are science. A good eye for form, color, design and overall aesthetics is necessary, and while these can be studied, they can rarely be taught. One such a dentist is Sam Muslin, a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry.
The unfortunate difference between cosmetic surgery and cosmetic dentistry is that the latter is not a “legally recognized specialty.” Whereas the cosmetic surgeon must be certified and licensed as such by his/her state agency, this is not the case for someone claiming to be a “cosmetic surgeon;” legally, any licensed dentist can call him or herself a “cosmetic dentist.” Having your porcelain veneers applied by any dentist - even a competent one - who lacks the special training in cosmetic dentistry could be an expensive mistake.
Consider this: you may take your automobile to a technician for tune-ups, oil changes and mechanical repairs, and this technician is probably very good at what he does. However, if you had a dent or scratched paint, you would go to a body and fender shop. Likewise, family dentist makes certain your teeth are healthy and working well, but is less concerned with their looks.
If you are dissatisfied with the look of your teeth, you should by all means share your concerns with your family dentist - who in all likelihood not trained in cosmetic dentistry (if s/he was, s/he would probably not be your primary care dentist!) Chances are good that s/he can refer you to someone who has not only the extensive training and experience in porcelain veneers and other cosmetic dentistry techniques, but also a highly developed sense of aesthetics, design and creativity that makes for a good cosmetic dentist.
Air pollution is one of the biggest culprits accounting for most respiratory illnesses. It is also a big contributor to the environmental problems of global warming, ozone depletion, smog, acid rain, crop damage, among others. We cause air pollution directly through our use of electricity, transportation and burning of fossil fuels.
Transportation is a necessary activity for us, especially for those who go to work and school. Some of us use the public transportation system, while a number use their own vehicles. Cars burn fossil fuels which are responsible for about 25% of carbon dioxide emissions. Over all, transportation contributes 60 to 90% of urban air pollution. Carbon dioxide emitted by vehicles makes up half of the amount that contributes to global warming.
In recent years, car makers have tried to develop environmentally-friendly cars. Eventually, they came out with the idea of the green car. A green car is able to reduce emission of air pollutants like carbon dioxide, hydrocarbons, and nitrous oxides or volatile organic compounds known as smog. These cars use alternative sources to help power the vehicle. Its concept involves the use of fuels that burn more cleanly.
Green cars that use propane and compressed natural gas are called Alternate Fuel Vehicles, or AFVs. There are also AFVs that utilize renewable fuels like biodiesel and ethanol. Hybrid cars, on the other hand, provide convenience and efficiency by merging its electric and combustion drives. Pure Electric Vehicles, or PEVs, use rechargeable batteries or fuel cells to generate power.
Although green cars are quite expensive, its helping to protect the environment is more than worth it for future generations. Green cars make for a better life and the world a healthier and safer place.
Another popular variety of tea is Green Tea. These tea leaves undergo minimal oxidization, mainly through steam. Grown mainly in China, these leaves are known for their medicinal properties. This variety of tea is considered to be more premium than black tea but not as premium as White Tea. White Tea is the most premium variety of tea. Grown almost exclusively in China, its consumption has only just started to gain popularity in the Americas. White Tea is made from the young leaves of certain tea bushes which have to be plucked before daybreak.
Another variety of tea, known as Oolong Tea, is that variety of tea whose oxidization level is somewhere in between the Green Tea and the Black Tea.
Grown, again, mostly in China, it is also referred to as blue tea. A few other varieties of tea are the Yellow Tea (a premium tea processed in the same way as Green Tea), Kukicha (made from the twigs of old tea bushes and a popular health drink in Japan), and Post-Fermented Tea (these teas are similar to Black Tea but undergo a second oxidation). The list could go on and on, but one has to draw a line somewhere. However, the tea varieties mentioned here will give you a good idea of the exquisite flavor and aroma of tea.
After a long week at work wouldn’t it be nice to get a good back massage-or to be able to give one to your spouse or significant other? Before you get started you might want some instruction on how to make this a great massage; one that will leave the recipient relaxed and comfortable rather than tired and tense. A massage that is not done correctly can actually cause even more pain than the person had before the massage. Giving a back massage is not difficult but it does take a little bit of know-how.
A Few Pointers:
For a general massage of the back, have the person lay on their stomach and sit by their head. Their head should be turned to the side and their arms should be resting at their sides. With your fingers just below the neck, slide your hands slowly down both sides of the back bone and then back up the sides of the body, and out over the shoulders. For the next part of the back massage, begin at the base of the neck again and rub in circular motions out toward the shoulders. With your thumbs make a rolling motion all over the bottom of the neck and top of the back to finish the job.
Lower Back
The lower back is the one most commonly injured and sore and benefits greatly from a back massage. Using your pinky and index finger on each hand, and sitting to the side of the recipient move your fingers along either side of the spine, moving one hand over the other in small rhythmic movements. For the next step of the back massage, you should start at the base of the spine, and using massage oil, make movements up the spine and down the sides of the body. Then, after you have done this with the oil, make rough rubbing motions from the bottom of the spine up to the rib cage. Finally for the last step of the back massage, make big gliding motions over the spine and lower back and then to the hips which should also be given a deep massage with large circular motions.
Upper Back
The upper back massage is accomplished by putting the recipients arm behind their back with the elbow bent, and one had cupped on the shoulder blade while the other hand massages around the shoulder blade in upward motions.
Remember
When you are giving any massage, you should be careful not to rub too hard on the backbone, or just rub to the sides of it. All movements in the back massage should be gentle and not too fast even when you are moving from one part of the body to another. You should also make sure that the recipient has adequate body support with pillows under the upper chest, the ankles, and under the breasts (for women.) Then your back massage should be a great success.

Who does like going to the dentist anyway? While you may not
want to go and you probably don’t like the bill that comes with
it, the bottom line is that you, more than likely, need to visit
the dentist on a regular basis. For most people, this is at
least twice per year. But, what can make the experience a little
less painful, all around comes from choosing the right dentist
from the beginning.
What should you look for? Do you have insurance? Where do you
begin? Here are some tips for choosing the right dentist for you
and your family.
* Dental Insurance: Got It? If you do not have dental insurance,
you should consider investing in it. Simply, it can provide
protection from very costly expenses such as braces, dentures or
even just cavity fillings. If you do have it, or when you get
it, it is very important to insure that the dentist that you
choose is covered by the plan that you have chosen. That will
insure that you get the coverage for your dental needs. *
Personality. The individual that is going to care for you should
have a personality that you enjoy and can get along with. If you
are one of the many that do not have the ability to interview
the dentist before you go in, find out what they are like when
you call to schedule an appointment. The receptionist can help
you to learn if one dentist or the next is the best for
children, for example. * Experience. Probably the most important
aspect of the individual you choose is their ability to provide
you with the services that you need in a quality manner. The
good news is that most will display their licenses and tell you
about themselves very openly.
Most areas have a good selection of dentists to choose from, but
traveling a little distance to get a good quality person is very
important and well worth it. Having a good individual to work
with is very important to your well being and your willingness
to go to the dentist regularly.
What is primary pulmonary hypertension? The best place to start is the pulmonary arteries. These arteries move the blood from the right ventricle of the heart to the lungs for oxygen.. When people have high blood pressure specifically in the pulmonary arteries, they have pulmonary hypertension.
This could be an extremely rare side-effect of Pondimin and Redux. The connection, however, has not been proven and more studies are needed to discover if this is in fact the case.
Primary pulmonary hypertension can lead to a failure of the right side of the heart as well as an inhibited ability to exercise.
Symptons include some basic signs such as shortness of breath, fainting or syncope, fatigue, and angina pectoris.
If arterial pressure becomes higher than 25 mmHg, pulmonary hypertension almost certainly exists. Normal pressure of someone living at sea level is only 12-16 mmHg. A Swan-Ganz catheter can measure this accurately.
Primary pulmonary hypertension occurs without an obvious cause. Secondary pulmonary hypertension comes because of another disease. If the case is pph, it is considered to be a genetic disorder. It can be associated with appetite suppressants like Fen-phen. There was even a lawsuit about Fen-phen (Abenhaim et al, 1996). There could be a genetic weakness to problem drugs, the basic cause of the disease is not known. You can find more about this at my site at pulmonary-research.com
PPH can often be fatal and people who have it usually do not show symptoms until they are in their late twenties or early thirties. Fortunately, it’s still a rare problem, however women are almost twice as susceptible to it as men.
Treatment can vary depending on the cause of primary pulmonary hypertension. Oxygen therapy can be useful if patients have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. An inferior vena caval filter insertion or a pulmonary endarterectonmy can be done if the PPH is caused by chronic thromboembolism.
Lifestyle changes are key to lessening the effects of PPH. Digoxin, diuretics, oral anticoagulands and vasodilators are also beneficial. Sildenafil can also be used to treat primary pulmonary hypertension.

If a woman believes she is experiencing signs of infection for the first time, she should see the doctor immediately if she is unsure of the treatment. The doctor will know the proper diagnosis for this type of infection.
Many people ask what the common yeast infection symptoms are. A woman can tell if she suffering if she has a thick vaginal discharge which looks a little like a cottage. But this symptom can be experienced by only about 20% of women who have yeast infections. The discharge may contain a starchy be yellow in color.
In view of the fact that not all women experience a discharge, the easiest way to tell if a woman has yeast infection is if she experiences itchiness in and around her vagina. The itchiness may go hand in hand with a burning sensation. The outer area and the vulva area can become swollen and red, this can result in painful urination and sexual intercourse may also be painful too.
These are the most common and general symptoms of yeast infection, but a woman may experience different symptoms. The best way to determine is by checking for changes in discharge.
Sometimes, a yeast infection may be mistaken as a urinary tract infection, but there is a difference between the two in terms of the burning sensation experienced. In a urinary tract infection, a woman can feel the burning when urine passes down the urethra when it is on its way out, this is different to yeast infections when the burning is caused as the acidic urine hits the irritated skin of the vulva.
It may be quite hard to tell whether you have a yeast infection or a urinary tract infection if you are experiencing symptoms for the first time. It is advisable to see a doctor if any of these signs appear. After you have been diagnosed, the next time you experience burning and itchiness, you will be better placed to know whether it is a yeast infection or a urinary tract infection.
Men are also susceptible suffering with yeast infections although it is unusual for men to develop them they are normally passed on from their female partners. Therefore, it is essential that if you or your partner develops a yeast infection you refrain from unprotected sex until you have both sought treatment. The danger is when only one partner seeks treatment, as the infection can be passed back and forth. For men, yeast infection symptoms can be identified through an itching, red rash and burning at the head of his penis.
