When someone says “The Beatles”, what images come to mind? I see a black and white picture of four guys onstage, sporting mop-top haircuts and grey collarless suits. To many people, that’s what The Beatles are - a black and white TV image of their performance on The Ed Sullivan Show.
In the spirit of unbiased journalism and avoiding clichés, I will not tell you that The Beatles were the greatest and most influential rock band ever. Nor will I tell you that their talents have been unrivalled for 35 years, since their breakup in 1970. I prefer facts, so here’s one: The Beatles are the best-selling group of all time, with worldwide sales exceeding 1.3 billion records
Here’s another one: During the record-breaking week of April 4, 1964, singles by The Beatles were in the Billboard’s top five positions in the singles chart -”Can’t Buy Me Love”, “Twist and Shout”, “She Loves You”, “I Want to Hold Your Hand”, and “Please Please Me”. The following week, 14 of their songs were in the Billboard Hot 100.
Beatlemania exploded in America in February, 1964, just months after President Kennedy’s assassination, when John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr arrived at New York’s JFK airport. They were greeted by thousands of screaming teen girls, and the foursome had no idea that they were there for them. They appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show later that week to an audience of 73 million people, still one of the highest-rated programs of all time.
Within the first few months of Beatlemania in 1964, United Artists quickly produced A Hard Day’s Night to capitalize on their infectious popularity. The comedy starred all four Beatles, and is an exaggerated version of 36 hours in the life of The Beatles. It was a massive hit and was followed by Help! the next year, which was produced in colour, but not nearly as “colourful” as the first.
They toured for only a few years, recording their albums in the interim. To escape the throng of hysterical young girls that followed them around, they were forced to sneak out of bathroom windows and swiftly duck into limousines. Many of their concerts were even drowned out by the high-pitched shrieks and squeals of girls.
In a March 1966 interview with The London Standard, John Lennon said, “Christianity will go. It will vanish and shrink. I needn’t argue with that; I’m right and I will be proved right. We’re more popular than Jesus now; I don’t know which will go first? Rock ‘n’ roll or Christianity”.
Naturally, this upset a lot of people, despite the fact that Lennon’s tongue-in-cheek remark had been quoted out of context. Lennon was making a social commentary about an overall decline of Christian faith, but nonetheless radio stations in the South and Midwestern US banned their music. The Vatican denounced Lennon’s words and South Africa banned Beatles music from the radio. The media circus surrounding the event and the stress from touring led to the band’s decision to quit performing live, and in August 1966 they put their final “official” live concert.
They spent the rest of their career as a band, writing and recording music, taking the best elements of rock, pop, folk and psychedelia and making it their own. On June 2, 1967, they released Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, the first popular concept album. This was the album that raised their reputations as musical innovators and was a big catalyst, starting the art rock movement while remaining incredibly popular.
But the feelings of success from the album quickly turned to sorrow when long-time manager Brian Epstein died on August 27, 1967. He was the proverbial glue that held them together. There are many different rumours pertaining to the breakup of the band, but this was the key event that eventually led to their demise.
While recording Abbey Road together in 1969, it became more apparent that the band were pursuing their own individual interests (Let It Be was an abandoned album that was recorded earlier in the year, but was compiled and released by their record company in 1970). McCartney tried to take over for Epstein, first by involving the group with the film The Magical Mystery Tour. The film captured their psychedelic period, but was a drastic flop.
While Lennon was busy in love with artist Yoko Ono, and McCartney was off talking to the press and ceremoniously leading the group, George Harrison was pursuing his own style of artistry. Lennon and McCartney were the principal songwriters and Harrison, eager to burst free of his two-song-per-album limitation, released the first solo effort from a Beatles band member in 1968, with the film soundtrack Wonderwall Music.
There was also a terrible business decision that would plague them for many years. Apple Corps. was originally set out as a company that would give grants to the poets, songwriters and fashion designers of the late 1960s - in other words, hippies. But what began as a vehicle for tax evasion soon became a financial disaster. Apple was losing money and The Beatles were publicly mocked for their bad business sense. Their public money squabbles soon sent them on a downward spiral.
New manager Allen Klein was hired in 1970 to restructure the company, but McCartney disliked him and had wanted to hire his lawyer father-in-law instead. John’s insistence on collaborating with Yoko sparked tensions within the group. They officially broke up in 1970, before the release of their final album, Let It Be.
Each member pursued careers as independent artists. John Lennon proved his talent as an independent artist with albums such as John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band and Imagine, but his career ended abruptly the evening of December 8, 1980 when he was shot to death outside his New York City apartment building.
Lennon’s assassination marked the end of Paul McCartney’s new band, The Wings, as well. Formed with wife Linda (and six other members) in 1971, they had toured for almost 10 years, with some hit singles and profitable albums, until Lennon’s assassination caused them to stop touring and breakup thereafter. McCartney remains the most successful popular music composer and recording artist ever with sales of 100 million singles worldwide. “Yesterday” (from the 1965 Help! album) is the world’s most popular song with over 6 million airplays in the US alone.
One of George Harrison’s most notable post-breakup achievements was releasing two very successful albums with The Travelling Wilbury’s, which included members such as Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne and Roy Orbison. He pursued a solo career until he died of brain cancer in November 2001.
Last and least (in the public eye, anyway), Ringo Starr, nicknamed for having always worn lots of rings on his fingers, released a successful self-titled album in 1973, after producing two back-to-back number one hits. He dabbled in television and films, and later formed The All Star Band.
No band has ever come close to mimicking The Beatles’ overall success and popularity. The Beatles gave us more than 22 number one singles, and a dozen albums that spanned and exemplified a decade rich with historical achievements. But most importantly, what we got was a “Revolution” (Well, you know).

It is not hard to find free online games. You even have a large array of options depending on what your particular tastes are. While the Internet can be great for news and sports updates, there are plenty of people who just want to have fun and find a fun way to burn off a couple hours after work or in the evening. For these types of web surfers, there are many different options, all depending on preference.
There are hundreds of free arcade type games that can be found on Yahoo, and on other web sites specifically designed for gamers. RealPlayer has an arcade site with over sixty games to download and counting, all of them for free. Many of these are individual arcade games, but there are plenty of ways to play someone else over the web if you prefer some type of interaction. You can find online chess, checkers, backgammon, blackjack, and dozens of other games. Whatever you want to play, you can find it somewhere . . . and with many of these games you don’t even have to dig very deeply to find them.
Is poker your game? Or Black Jack? Most online casinos offer “practice money” that gets renewed once a day if you bust. As long as you sign up for an account you can use practice money to play Texas Hold ‘Em, five card draw, black jack, Caribbean poker, or any of a wide variety of games for free. Best part is if you win extra play money, usually it rolls over and you get to keep it. If you bust, the next day you are back to your original amount. This is a great way to learn to play games that you might otherwise not be able to pick up on. Hold ‘Em and blackjack are pretty basic, but Omaha Hi-Lo and Caribbean Poker might be new ones to the average player.
There is also the option of demo downloads. Some web sites will offer a limited demo version of a game released for PC in the hopes that the free, limited version will be enough fun and pique enough interest to cause you to buy the actual game at full price. This is a good deal, as often even very limited demo games still have enough strategy and challenge to them to stay entertaining for several hours on end.
Your choices online are just about limitless. Just look around for the specific game you are looking for, find your free game, and have fun. There are hundreds of options, so surf around for one you will enjoy and have fun!

The fine old Chinese slogan has a powerful meaning; the statement put into words the truth that we acknowledge an event significantly more when it is viewed. Using video production or videography it is feasible to capture a string of occasions.
Nowadays in loads of company presentations, video clips are repeatedly employed. By adopting video production services it’s viable to supply the crucial information to various different likely clientele to help tempt them. Online Video production today is employed for numerous different reasons; however, more than a few short format online video commercials & awareness associated presentations are usually developed in order to accomplish desired commercial objectives.

Digital media businesses generally interact with a certain kind of client or a company that seeks to create an online corporate video, a presentation or a series of video clips. The full work of video production is often carried out by freelancers; however there are a couple of good video production companies around at the moment. Often when I run across a good novel, or even after I’ve written an interesting piece, myself; I’ll offer the stories or summaries to my teenagers Usually, their first response is, “Do I have to read it?” And many times, I will reply, “No, you don’t have to read it, but I bet you’ll find it interesting.”
While time has evolved, kids and adults alike, are less inclined to check into local libraries for literary enjoyment. As a stark awakening, I find that most children eagerly seek other forms of entertainment in the forms of multimedia such as video games, cable television, film and yes - the Internet, too. While movies, TV, and the Worldwide Web are phenomenal means of artistic and informational conveyance, they do not adequately serve the human imagination.
My first real interest into in-depth novels began when my 5th grade teacher, Mr. Drozdowski introduced our class to William Shakespeare’s play, MacBeth. I found Shakepeare’s works intriguing and viewed his literature as a renewed breath in poetical, literary expressionism. I further immersed myself in other literature like the Nancy Drew series, Jack London’s “Call of the Wild,” and Alexandre Dumas’ “The Count of Monte Cristo.”
When we pick up a book, we actively engage and submerse ourselves in the story’s plot. Books allow us to conjure the mind’s unlimited imagination. When we read a book, it enables us to become creative in thought, as we hold complete power as to what the imagination’s eye sees. Whether it’s an evil-looking, Cruella DeVille-type, Lady Macbeth; or as in Hans Christian Andersen’s, ‘The Little Mermaid,’ we could invision an impeccable beauty with long, flowing aquamarine hair. The mind’s eye is infinite.
Today, we virtually have the world at our fingertips. If you are ready to dive into fantasy, sci-fi, drama, philosophy, heroism, suspense, mystery or whatever interests you, there is a world of literature that will not only open your eyes, but will pull you into its characters, its sorrows and laughter…and sometimes, it may even make you believe in fairytales!
If you haven’t done so already, visit your local library or bookstore and get ready for the thrill of your life! It’s waiting for you now.

The concept of high-level government commissions to preserve ideological structure in nations where the U.N. may need to intervene may be a concept that can ease fears of an ideological take over.
Does a religious ultra conservative society have the right to remain ultra conservative?
An act of ignoring ideological differences between American and Middle East culture is an obstacle to peace without bloodshed. An attempt to ignore ideological differences between American and Middle East culture is an effort to not light a fuse leading to emotional escalation of the crisis.
Ultra conservative Muslim societies may fear an United Nations intervention in Iraq may open the door to ideological westernization of ultra conservative Muslim societies in the Middle East. Iraq’s history of military conflict and defiance of its Arab neighbors may be a fearful response of an ultra conservative society to ideological westernization of ultra conservative Arab culture.
In my feature article entitled, My Two Cents: A Peace Proposal No One on Earth May have Contemplated, I explore fears ultra conservative societies may have in relation to western culture. The following is a poignant observation I made within the content of my feature article:
One of the major criticisms of free democratic societies is that freedom can become a license for immorality. The observation that freedom can become a license for immorality is a very valid criticism of free democratic societies.
A clear statement of major goals and final outcomes of United Nations intervention can reduce the fear of ideological westernization of ultra conservative Muslim societies.
The ultimate goal and final outcome of United Nations intervention should be increased stability in the Middle East achieved by complete total disarmament of Iraq. The ultimate reason to increase stability in the Middle East is for the safety and welfare of every Arab citizen.
Iraq’s pattern of military conflict with its Arab neighbors demonstrates Iraq is quick to resort to military conquest as a solution to perceived Middle East problems. In the future, scientific development of new emerging technology, such as nanotechnology and intelligent missile systems, may allow Iraq to gain access to powerful more deadly weapons that can be used to conquer neighboring Arab countries. The world is becoming more dangerous day by day.
In order to demonstrate dedication to the right of ultra conservative societies to remain ultra conservative the United Nations should consider a motion to declare the right of ultra conservative societies of every religion to pass and uphold laws preventing organizing religious movements within a country where United Nations intervention becomes necessary.
The sharing of faith may be less strict. Every spiritual person of every faith likes to share. The act of sharing from person to person allows every major religious movement to grow and prosper. The need of sharing and education is a mutual beneficial goal.
However, an act of sharing and organizing are two different processes. An act of organizing can cross a line to challenge the belief system of ultra conservative societies. The love and caring individuals’ show for one another is more important than a display of great knowledge each person may have.
The love and caring each person shows for one another is more important than organizing a powerful bureaucratic institution. A powerful bureaucratic institution will fade away anyhow.
As a world leader, Pope John Paul set an example of humility, by making apologies for wrongs the church may have committed during attempts to conquer many centuries ago.
The world has changed. Sheer brute force may have been necessary to survive many centuries ago. Sheer brute force is not as critical to survival today because of greater resources made available by technological innovation.
Of course, every human on earth should have the fundamental right to be free from torture, beatings, starvation, and false imprisonment based on the choice of an individual to embrace different believes. The United Nations should actively work to insure basic human rights of an individual. If an individual should decide to follow a more moderate path that individual should have the freedom to move to another country without having family members left behind victimized by torture.
In the content of my feature article entitled, My Two Cents: A Peace Proposal No One on Earth May have Yet Contemplated, I propose the use of high-level government commissions as a tool to preserve ideological integrity of ultra conservative religious societies.

The concept of high-level government commissions to preserve ideological structure in nations where the U.N. may need to intervene may be a concept that can ease fears of an ideological take over. Every society should have the freedom to maintain values they as a people hold dear.
Preservation of the ideological integrity of ultra conservative societies may help prevent formation of a one world government. The formation of a one world government may dilute ultra conservative religious values. The dilution of ultra conservative religious values may allow world domination by a powerful dictator.
The United Nations should declare major goals of (1)social stability and (2) dedication to basic fundamental human rights. The United Nations should make it extremely clear that it does not support or facilitate ideological take over.
A pure simple dedication to social stability and basic fundamental human rights implies a huge United Nations financial investment in a country. A financial investment in a region where the United Nations intevenes to help provide more social stability and insure basic human rights should not require ideological change of any kind. The possibility of a huge United Nations financial investment should be an incentive to induce peaceful cooperation.

Three card Poker is a fast paced game which is easy to learn for the novice card player.
This game is played with a 52 card deck and is played between a dealer and a single player.
The player and dealer are each dealt 3 cards which are placed face down. The object of the game is for you to get a higher three card poker hand than the dealer. An important rule that people must remember when playing three card poker is regarding the hand ranks. In three card poker a straight is higher than a flush because there are fewer ways to make a 3 card straight than a 3 card flush.
There is little strategy and absolutely no bluffing involved in this game, which is why I said at the beginning that it is a game for the beginner. The main decision in this game comes when the player first looks at the cards he is dealt. Here he must decide whether to fold or to raise. In three card poker a raise means you are paying to see the dealer’s cards.
The minimum hand you must have before raising is at least an ace high with either a king or queen, otherwise one should fold. There is a twist in this form of poker though, whereby the dealer can have a higher three card poker hand than you and still lose the game. It works as follows, the dealer must have a queen high hand or better, or his hand does not count for the game. So theoretically if you are dealt a hand with just a ten in it you could still win the hand. For this twist to happen though, you will have to raise the dealer, so think carefully before raising with a weak hand…

KA, which translates to fire in Japanese and signifies spiritual duality in Egyptian mythology, is the story of twins, a boy and a girl, who as youngsters are kidnapped and separated from each other and their family. The show engages a series of epic challenges that these young royals must endure in order to reunite.
A dark, dazzling gothic tone is established the moment one enters the sprawling 1951 seat theater. Smoke accompanied by blasts of fire light up the stage while nimble Ninjas dart and swing from multi-tiered catwalks over and around the audience. These characters are primal in their ominous quest. The show begins when an old Asian man with a long, thin red beard makes his entrance. The Ninjas are his warriors and their dark message has already been planted in the viewer’s mind.
The Slave Cage.
Breaking new theatrical ground there is no stage as we know it. Instead, there are numerous platforms, sets and incredible technology that enable performers to use vertical as well as horizontal space. A platform carrying the royal family and court seems to float forward from the back of the stage. The evil warriors appear, separating the twins from each other and their parents. Sets transform from a stage to a ship caught in a storm. Utilizing the abyss on either side of the stage, characters are tossed overboard and appear to be swallowed up by the roiling ocean water.
Creator and director Robert Lepage describes the KA experience by saying, “People will have the impression they’re within some kind of cinematic event but actually everything is interactive, everything’s happening at the moment.”
Female Archers.
The magnificent costumes designed by Marie-Chantale Vaillancourt, and the props, especially the spears and bows and arrows, designed by Patricia Ruel, celebrate aesthetic and colorful aspects of Asian culture. Perhaps the most extraordinary innovation is the technology that allows the entire stage to transform into the depths of the ocean, a battlefield or a mountain of ice.
Interactive projections designer Holger Forterer is using technology along with live performers to create a new art form. The Cirque press material describes these realistic images, explaining: “The video projections in KA are an intricate mix of computer-generated effects and human input that turn performance space into a cinema screen.” Choreographer Jacques Heim creates a series of acrobatically orchestrated jousts and combative practices that go beyond dance. Throughout the show he has designed fluid dance sequences.
Guy Caron, credited as Director of Creation brings decades of theatrical and Cirque experience into play. According to Caron, “The script was the element that dictated the way the theatre is built, and it determined how the sets would be used. That’s totally new for Cirque du Soleil.”
Possibly the Bellagio’s “O” theater, with its multi-leveled swimming pool to dry stage dictated the sequences. The concept for the theater came first, the show second. With KA the script came first. Caron and Robert Lepage take us on a journey that incorporates the real and the surreal.
After fighting and surviving the elements the royal princess and her caretakers find themselves on a beach where Michael Curry’s amazing sea creatures emerge. Backstage, the master designer, renowned for the Lion King, explained, “We’re trying to find a familiar world that is fantastic and different at the same time.”

MOTHER’S MILK
Mother’s milk is an unmatched mixture that is created by God as both an excellent food-source for the newborn baby, and a substance that increases its resistance to diseases. Even artificial baby food produced by today’s technology cannot substitute for this miraculous source of nutrition.
Every day, a new benefit of mother’s milk to the baby is discovered. One of the facts that science has discovered about mother’s milk is that suckling up to two years after birth is very beneficial.19 God gives us this important information, which was discovered by science only very recently, with the verse “…his weaning was in two years..” 14 centuries ago.
And We have enjoined upon man goodness towards his parents: his mother bore him by bearing strain upon strain, and his weaning was in two years: (hence, O man,) be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the eventual coming. (The Qur’an, 31:14)
THE IDENTITY IN THE FINGERPRINT
While it is stated in the Qur’an that it is easy for God to bring man back to life after death, peoples’ fingerprints are particularly emphasized:
Yes, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. (The Qur’an, 75:3-4)
The emphasis on fingerprints has a very special meaning. This is because everyone’s fingerprint is unique to himself. Every person who is alive or who has ever lived in this world has a set of unique fingerprints.
That is why fingerprints are accepted as a very important proof of identity, exclusive to their owner, and are used for this purpose around the world.
But what is important is that this feature of fingerprints was only discovered in the late 19th century. Before then, people regarded fingerprints as ordinary curves without any specific importance or meaning. However in the Qur’an, God points to the fingertips, which did not attract anyone’s attention at that time, and calls our attention to their importance-an importance that was only finally understood in our day.

Different people have different ideas about paid survey. Many people think the rule, as always, is to stay away from those that ask you to pay before you can get these surveys. Legitimate market survey companies recruit members based on demographic characteristics - e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old - and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. (NC)Juicy, ripe California peaches with espresso-dipped ladyfinger cookies, mascarpone cream, hazelnuts and a warm Gianduia chocolate drizzle create a decadent dessert that’s a perfect encore to any meal. The combination of tangy peaches and rich chocolate set the stage for this beautiful, flavorful and elegant dessert.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup hazelnuts
1 cup sugar
1 cinnamon stick
6 large California peaches, peeled
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 cup mascarpone
12 soft ladyfinger cookies
1/2 cup brewed espresso (or espresso liqueur)
2 ounces Gianduia chocolate, chopped*
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
*Giandiua (pronounced john-DOO-yuh) is a combination of roasted, pulverized hazelnuts and chocolate (usually milk chocolate). It can be found in chocolate or confectionary specialty stores.
Method:
Preheat oven to 375 F. Toast hazelnuts on a sheet pan, stirring often, until skin is cracked. To remove the peel, rub hazelnuts in a kitchen towel. Coarsely chop hazelnuts and set aside.
Combine 2 cups of water with sugar and cinnamon stick in a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Drop in the peaches and cook until the skin cracks and easily separates from the fruit. Immediately transfer the peaches to a bucket of iced water. Peel the fruit, cut in half and remove the pits.
Beat the heavy cream to soft peaks; fold the corn syrup into the whipped cream and add to mascarpone to blend.
Dip ladyfinger cookies into espresso (or espresso liqueur). Melt the Giandiua chocolate in a double boiler over simmering water, stirring until smooth. Place 1 ladyfinger in the bottom of each of 12 champagne glasses or dessert dishes. Top with 1 peach half. Spoon on the mascarpone cream, garnish with hazelnuts, dust with the cocoa and drizzle with melted chocolate.
